States that 20% of the things you do account for 80% of the results, which means there are a few select activities that will give you the highest “jumps” in advantage, and after those large things the gains are minimal at best

What I think about most in this problem is how I can apply this rule to what I’m doing right now? Deep down I know focus is important, and that some problems/skills are more important than others. So it doesn’t make sense to work on n’importe quoi.

However, identifying the things that make the biggest difference isn’t always obvious. And if you’ve managed that, then you have to make sure you know how to move that needle forward.

We see this in a lot of places and is a staple in self-help/productivity, but the reminders help!
