My second brain is now LIVE - and here’s how it changed the way I work and learn! Home
In late 2022, my overwhelm was coming to a head. Even though I’d been working for a while, I kept losing time and energy reinventing wheels.
“I’ve seen something about this before, but I can’t remember” was playing on repeat when I:
- re-wrote the same SOPs across multiple jobs
- forgot concepts from books at the most crucial hour
- misplaced sources, quotes, and “eureka!” insights for articles
My career’s now divided into before and after reading “Building a Second Brain” by Tiago Forte. It completely reframed my relationship to knowledge. As I built my personal second brain in Obsidian, I started sharing my insights with others.
Since I had to learn Shell, HTML, and CSS this semester, why not turn it into a website? I developed the workflow outside of classes, learning git, file permissions, a little javascript, and how to troubleshoot when your latest code broke everything…which happened twice.
The site is like a brain. Some nodes are new, full of potential connections, and others are strong circuits that feed into each other. It will multiply, prune, and consolidate as I grow, and soon host my portfolio!
