My initial thoughts
Just from the name, poly = multiple, morphs = morphology = physical structure; likely when certain molecules come together to form a “new” compound, or change their configuration. This can either be good or bad, depending on the metabolism chain and what you want
What it actually is
Aka Drug polymorphism, it’s when a chemical compound (molecule) arranges itself differently depending on its conditions. Polymorphic forms can change how the drug is metabolized and interacts with other compounds, which means it can alter the drug’s safety and efficiency
Example of sand
Structure of sand (left) vs. glass (right). Silicon dioxide absorbs visible light in its crystal form, making sand appear beige. The amorphous form, glass, is colorless or transparent because light simply passes through.
