- Project assistance: Perineural nets Research focuses on the relationship of maternal behavior in Rett Syndrome mice and the pathogenesis of the disease. Achievements include completing a project including video coding of mice behavior and audio coding of communication via analysis of ultrasonic vocalizations. Contributions to side projects include assisting with construction of a 3D model mouse brain using modified code in R to evaluate the location and density of PNN in previously imaged brain slices.
Roberts Lab - Student Researcher
Lab of Daniel Roberts, PhD Project assistance: Aquaporin protein Learn basic techniques of molecular biology research, including PCR, gene insertion, plating bacteria colonies, and growing bacterial cultures. Assisted with doctoral project of assigned graduate student regarding the conformation changes of Calmodulin proteins in various chemical solutions.
Lydic Lab - Student Researcher
Lab of Ralph Lydic, MD, PhD
- Project assistance: Leptin Status Alters Buprenorphine-Induced Antinociception in Obese Mice with Dysfunctional Leptin Receptors link Perform regular maintenance of mice rooms, assist with weighing mice, surgery prep, and compiling data used for breathing study. Communicate with research staff about trajectory of study and assist with literature reviews.
